Vocational Nursing

The Blinn College District Vocational Nursing (VOCN) Program is a 10-12 month course of study offered on the Brenham Campus providing the education and training needed to become a highly skilled, licensed vocational nurse (LVN) capable of working in a variety of medical settings. No prerequisite courses are required. The program consists of classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences in the acute care setting and other healthcare facilities in Brenham and the surrounding area.

We offer two program types:

  1. Traditional Face-to-Face Program: Two start dates per year, fall semester and spring semester continuing for 10-11 months.
  2. Blended/Online Program: One start date per year, fall semester only and continues for 12 months.

The Vocational Nursing Program is a competitive entry program. Enrollment in Vocational Nursing courses is also dependent upon admission into the program and the College.
